“The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” – Screening and Discussion

On the 11st of April 2002, a failed US-backed coup attempt was orchestrated against the then Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez.
Join the Red Anti-Imperialist Collective and the Latin American Solidarity Network for a screening and discussion event of the documentary The Revolution Will Not be Televised (2003, dir. Kim Bartley and Donnacha O’Briain), which documents the events that unfolded during this past coup attempt.

This event will be raising funds for Latin American Solidarity Campaigns: for Paraguay, Ecuador, Mapuche + Argentina political prisoners (Socorro PP Defend Collective) and Colombia Indigenous Wiwa communities (Wiwa First Nation).
Synopsis:
In April 2002, an Irish film crew is making a documentary about Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, when a coup from the opposition is made.
