These two illustrations from the 2023 Credit Swisse World Wealth Report show what Red Ant wants to change in the world.
The first shows the distribution of wealth defined as ownership of real estate and financial assets (stocks, bonds and cash) less debt for all the adults in the world.
The top 1.1% of adults own 45.8% of the world’s wealth (and within that 1.1% there is an even more unequal pyramid with a tiny number hogging most of the wealth).
2,818,000,000 adults, 52.5% of the total, own less than $US10,000 each.

Red Ant wants to share the bounty of humanity’s wealth equitably among all.
The next shows the countries that hold most of the wealth.
The countries coloured the most darkly are the imperialist countries that draw wealth out of the rest of the world using mechanisms like unequal exchange, foreign investment, and control over financial systems. The names of the dominant countries have not changed for well over 100 years.
Imperialism dominates the world and Red Ant wants to end that.

On the way to changing this situation, there are the issues of stopping carbon pollution causing climate change, eliminating sexism, ending oppression of LGBTI+ people, racism and many other issues of capitalist injustice.
Red Ant seeks to work with others to build the broadest coalitions – united fronts – to mobilise the greatest number of people around those key ideas. We believe that it is only when people are involved in powerful mass movements, and also hear convincing and serious socialist perspectives patiently explained, that the majority of people can come to revolutionary conclusions.
We say socialists inside Australia – the primary regional oppressor country – need to organise on a consistent anti-imperialist basis. This means supporting overseas struggles and understanding that our domestic struggles are framed by Australia’s position in the world.
Red Ant supporters are active in political campaigns such as anti-AUKUS, Cuba solidarity, the climate crisis and women’s liberation. We help organise tours by international speakers and public forums.
We value our extensive and growing links with overseas socialists, especially in Southeast Asia.
We have an expanding list of Red Ant Publishing titles and we are actively seeking to re-group with like-minded organisations and individuals.
If you are aware of how much needs changing in the world, then you know how much there is to do. You can’t achieve that as a lone individual.
