SUMMARY:Melbourne Film Screening of "Palestinians Don't Need Sidewalks". Q & A with filmmakers
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a screening of Dare to Struggle’s newest documentary\, “Palestinians Don’t Need Sidewalk”\, to learn more about how Palestinians continue to resist and struggle against the Zionist occupation. \nThere will be a chance for attendees to participate in a Q&A session with the filmmakers themselves! \nFunds raised from the event will go to support the The Defence for Children International Palestine. \n🆓Free Entry! Book your tickets here: Film Screening – Palestinians Don’t Need Sidewalks \n📅Date: Thursday 21st of August\n⏰Time: 6pm\n📍 Location: Activity Room 206\, Student Pavilion\, The University of Melbourne\, 761 Swanston St\, Parkville VIC 3010 \nSynopsis:\nPalestinian’s Don’t Need Sidewalks\, the newest documentary from “Dare to Struggle”\, takes us on a journey through the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem that\, through Palestinian eyes\, profiles life living under Israeli occupation. \nThe film also looks at Australia’s complicity with Israel\, particularly through Australia’s commitment to reinvigorating its manufacturing base by integrating into the US military supply chain. It also touches on the mainstream media and how the Zionist lobby has managed to control the information that is presented via these channels. This film goes way beyond how mainstream media portrays Israel. \nIn 2024 “Dare to Struggle” partnered with the “Hebron Human Rights Defenders” who throughout the year gathered footage of Palestinian life and of Israeli aggression against Palestinians. They also conducted interviews as a reflection of life for Palestinians after October 7th. “
