Gabriel Rockhill National Tour – Event Details

From December 12 to 19 2026 Gabriel Rockhill will tour several major cities in so-called Australia with Red Ant. Rockhill will visit Gadigal/Sydney, Boorloo/Perth, and Naarm/Melbourne, where he will deliver public talks on the critique of Western Marxism, imperialism, and dialectical and historical materialism. In Naarm, Rockhill will host a day-long teach-in on imperialism and the Marxist theory of fascism for the twenty-first century.
Rockhill’s visit comes at a critical time for the left, especially in the imperial core. World capitalism is entering a period of acute structural crisis. The neoliberal system has failed, and the ruling class is forced to rely more and more on speculative finance and fragile bubbles to secure capital growth, laying the groundwork for inevitable collapse. Conditions for working people everywhere are deteriorating, in some places rapidly. The forces of reaction have managed to take advantage of these trends; far right and fascist incumbents in India, the U.S., Italy, the Philippines and elsewhere have been joined in 2026 by new powers in Colombia, Peru and Japan. The imperialist onslaught against the Global South has intensified, with economic and military attacks on Venezuela, Cuba, and Iran taking place over the course of the year.
In a situation like this, where working people are surrounded on all sides, it is more important than ever for us to organise ourselves effectively. Socialism and anti-imperialism are the only answers, and it is critical for those of us in the belly of the imperialist beast to unify around these goals. Rockhill’s tour will no doubt contribute to this process of reorientation.
